A major winter storm is on the way to the bluegrass state. Local high water issues are possible early Wednesday and that will be followed up by heavy snow and sleet. Significant accumulations are likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
A busy Lexington road is back open after being closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon.
Police closed part of Winchester Road closed just before noon after traffic lights fell onto the roadway.
It happened at the intersection of Man O'War Boulevard.
It appears a large truck came in contact with the traffic lights, knocking them to the ground. It's believed the truck kept going.
The incident knocked out power to the surrounding area.
The road reopened around 3 p.m.
