Heavy rain producing thunderstorms continue to rumble across southeastern Kentucky. Watch for additional flooding problems.
The cool air doesn't look to go anywhere anytime soon. Highs this afternoon reach the upper 50s to low 60s. A few showers are also possible through the day, but mainly during the afternoon. With these cool temperatures in here the freezing level is very low meaning we could possibly see some hail fall out of these showers. Nothing to be alarmed about, but don't want you to be surprised.
Better weather is in the forecast for this weekend. A small chance of rain comes in during the day on Saturday. This will mainly be for I-64 and southbound. Much drier air filters in here on Sunday with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Big changes in the forecast next week. Much drier conditions and warmer air will be the look. We will be back in the 80s.
