RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Reverend James Sichko has announced that Paula Deen will be the special guest for an afternoon of tea and conversation here in Lexington.
She's had her fair share of controversy lately but now folks in Kentucky will have the chance to hear from Deen in her own words.
The tea is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. on Memorial day at the Carrick House, 312 North Limestone in downtown Lexington.
Reverend James Sichko, who is Deen's adviser, is bringing the famed cook to town as part of his "An Afternoon Among Friends" series.
Tickets for the event start at $100. VIP tickets for a special "meet & greet" with Deen are available for $500.
Proceeds from the event will help fund scholarships for kids to attend St. Marks Catholic School in Richmond and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Tickets are available only on the St. Mark website: www.saintmarkcatholicchurch.net.
