WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Department of Highways plans to begin a pavement project on Interstate 64 in Winchester Wednesday.
Officials say crews will be sealing pavement joints to reduce future maintenance costs on the road.
The project will be taking place between mile points 95.3 and 98, beginning Wednesday, August 27, and continuing until Wednesday, September 3. Officials say double lane closures may be necessary at times.
They say the work could continue onto the ramps of Exit 96.
Work is scheduled between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. each day, except for the weekend.
