Pennsylvania woman injured in Kentucky crash

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman from Pennsylvania has serious injuries after a crash in Madison County.

Kentucky State Police are investigating the single vehicle collision on Big Hill Avenue in Madison County. The crash happened around 8:50 Tuesday morning.

State Police say their preliminary investigation revealed that the car crossed over the center lane before leaving the roadway. The car then struck a barb wire fence and utility pole before coming to final rest.

The driver, 27-year old Abigail Dietz from Glenside, Pennsylvania was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with severe injuries.

Police say she was wearing a seatbelt.

Kentucky State Police are investigating the crash.
