LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire that forced several people from an apartment building.
It was just after two on New Year's morning when the Lexington Fire department got a call about a fire on Catalpa road. That's near Fontaine Road and Richmond Road.
Neighbors evacuated the building, which housed four apartments.
Investigators say the fire started in one unit, and then spread into the hallway. The unit where the fire originated is unlivable. No information was available at the time of the fire on whether neighboring apartments were damage.
