BLACKEY, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - People in Blackey say they were shocked when it happened. We talked to the pastor of the Blackey Missionary Baptist church who says there are several new cracks all around the building, including one that goes around the concrete patio.

Photographer Ashley Cook says it seemed like a great day for a wedding shoot, but that all changed.

"It started shaking really really vigorously, so I jumped off and jumped on that concrete and it was still shaking and that's when I realized that it wasn't just the ledge." Cook said.

She's not alone. When the four point three magnitude quake hit, it didn't go unnoticed.

"We had this terrific growl it sounded like and I thought it was going to throw me out of this chair I was sitting in." Peyton Reynolds, who felt the quake, said.

Some say they thought it was mining blast, but others say they knew it was something unusual.

They say it only lasted a few seconds, but it was enough to leave cracks in walls, ceilings and concrete.

They all seem to agree on one thing. It was a scary situation.

We have not received any reports of any major structural damage, but there are several buildings with cracks in walls and sidewalks.

There have also been no reports of any injuries at this time.
