A Perry County man is recovering after being beaten and robbed in his home

Earl Patrick said two men forced their way into his home late Wednesday night.

He said he recalls them wearing stockings over their faces and searching through his home for money and medications.

Patrick is now left with a handful of injuries.

This is the second time that Patrick's apartment has been robbed.

“They tore my bed a part, dumped my drawers out and, then when they flipped the mattress over, that's when they found the medication,” said Patrick.

“Every time I tried to look at the guy he would hit me with a pistol again, and I know he hit me six or eight times,” said Patrick.

The attack did not scare just Patrick but others in the Darfork area of Hazard.

“It is very disturbing, it’s scary, we already have things in place that help us try to secure the business and our employees,” said Nu 2 U shop owner.

State police have said they are still looking for the two suspects.
