Person of interest comes forward in Jessamine animal abuse case

JESSAMINE CO. Ky, (WKYT) - Jessamine county animal control officers say someone has come forward to admit to a disturbing case of animal cruelty.

Investigators found a black Pomeranian duct taped to a rock and left on a frozen pond. Investigators say it appeared the person was hoping the rock would break through the ice and drown the dog. The ice didn't break, though, and it appears the person shot and killed the dog.

Investigators have not released any names in the case, but they say charges are pending.
