Phoenix police: 3 shot at office complex

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say three people have been shot at an office complex.

Police say one person is in extremely critical condition. Two others who were shot had less severe injuries.

Officer James Holmes says the victims were taken to hospitals. Fire Capt. Scott McDonald says all those shot had life-threatening wounds. He said two other people had minor injuries that he would not describe in detail.

Holmes says police so far believe there was only one shooter but don't know his whereabouts.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson says police do not believe the Wednesday morning shooting was a random act. They do not know the whereabouts of the shooter.

He says police were given conflicting information about the suspect leaving the scene.
