A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
After a very comfortable two-day run... we are about to see the return of some slightly warmer air. Our highs will begin to climb today. Most areas will see temps jump into the low and even some mid 80s for your Saturday. Thankfully, our humidity levels will stay slightly low.
More clouds and even more heat will work into the area on Sunday. There is also a very small chance we'll see a few showers late in the day. I think most of us stay dry. We can't rule out the possibility of seeing at least one or two though. This is also the same time our humidity starts to increase too.
Once Monday arrives it is back to your typical July pattern. That means heat, humidity, and a daily threat of showers and storms. A frontal boundary will stall out over Kentucky. It ignites showers and storms all week. This is what you would expect for this time of year. Those rain chances will be with us each day during the new work week. While I don't see any day with a lot of heat... I do see plenty of humidity.
