LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say they were forced to deploy a taser on a man outside a Lexington apartment.

Officials say Charles Mason, 59, was highly intoxicated and refused to leave his brother's apartment late Thursday night on North Broadway.

When police arrived, they say Mason became so combative they needed to use their taser to take him into custody.

Mason was treated at the scene and faces several charges.

No officers were injured.
