Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
Cooper, 22 month old, died in a hot car. His father, Justin Ross Harris, said he forgot his child was in the car.
MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Friends and family say a Georgia man who's accused of leaving his son in a hot SUV was a loving father who was devastated by his son's death.
But a prosecutor argued during a three-hour hearing Thursday that 33-year-old Justin Ross Harris was unhappy in his marriage and intentionally left the child in the vehicle where he died.
Harris faces child cruelty and murder charges in the June 18 death of his 22-month-old son Cooper. Police say the child was left in a vehicle for about seven hours on a day when temperatures in the Atlanta area reached at least into the high 80s.
After hearing evidence presented by the prosecution, a judge in an Atlanta suburb declined to grant Harris bond.
