LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Shocking allegations on Thursday against a Lincoln County mother accused of trying to kill her infant son.
Tammy Wolfinbarger is accused of attempted murder.
Police say she tried to smother her two-month-old son with a pillow.
It was the standard not guilty plea for the 28-year old mother Thursday morning in Lincoln District court.
Wolfinbarger said very little before Judge Janet Booth only nodding her head that she understood the questions she was being asked.
Police say the mother of two used a pillow to try to suffocate her baby boy, and the police citation also says she told officers she wanted to kill him.
After the judge entered a not guilty plea, Wolfinbarger simply asked the judge if she could get out of jail.
Judge Booth replied, "I'll be reviewing everyone's bond later."
Currently the bond is set at $100,000 cash.
Judge Booth set a preliminary hearing for Monday at 2:00.
