Police: Man beat, robbed woman

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is in jail after police say he beat and robbed a woman.

Court documents show Clifford Crenshaw, 50, repeatedly hit the woman on the head with a wooden box, cut her throat with scissors or a knife and punched her repeatedly before throwing her through a screen door. When police arrived, they said the victim was bleeding badly.

After the assault, court documents state Crenshaw stole the victim's car key, cell phone and a Walmart credit card.

Crenshaw is charged with robbery and tampering with physical evidence.
