Police: Suspect gets violent after Lexington hospital lab robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A 53-year old man is facing a robbery charge after a theft at a Lexington hospital.

A report, filed by Lexington Police, says a security guard spotted a man on video, stealing from a restricted lab inside Good Samaritan Hospital on Sunday. The man reportedly stole a wallet.

When confronted by the security guard and the victim, the report says the suspect got violent. According to police, he pushed the security guard.

Lexington Police arrested Jesse Watson in the emergency room parking lot. According to the police report, Watson had been issued a criminal trespass warning for the property of the University of Kentucky, which included Good Samaritan. The order says that Watson was not allowed on UK property unless he was seeking medical attention or attending school.

Watson is charged with robbery and criminal trespassing.
