Police: Woman robbed while trying to help

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - Police are searching for two men accused of robbing a woman who tried to help them on the side of the road in Harlan County.

State Police say on Saturday night on US-119 in Coldiron, a woman stopped to help two men in what appeared to be a broken down truck.

The woman said the men asked for a jump, but then pushed her back into her car, stole some cash and left.

"They're believed to have taken $100 from a lady trying to assist those individuals broken down on the side of the road," said Trooper Shane Jacobs.

Police say the truck was a Green Chevrolet S-10.

Anyone with information should call state police.
