LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have arrested a woman they say wrote thousands of dollars in cold checks.
40-year-old Joetta Benge was arrested near London, and charged with five counts of theft by deception.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says Benge wrote five cold checks to the Knox County Clerk and nearby businesses.
One of the checks had been written for more than $9,000.
