RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have made an arrest in a four-year-old murder case.
Joanne Tribble was found badly beaten in the garage of her home on Teakwood Drive in July of 2008. She was taken to UK Hospital but would later die from her injuries.
Richmond Police issued a press release today saying they had arrested a suspect who was 17 at the time of the murder. The person was being charged as a juvenile and police wouldn't release the name.
But according to arrest records the man charged with the murder is 22-year-old William Tribble, Joanne Tribble's great grandson.
The citation says during an interview with police William Tribble admitted to assaulting Joanne Tribble with a weapon which resulted in her death.
Joanne Tribble's son Eddie said on Wednesday that he couldn't talk about the case on camera but he did say his family is pleased with the investigation by Richmond Police.
