LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police believe a fight led to a man being stabbed.

On Saturday night around 9:30 P.M. London police responded to a complaint that a man had been stabbed on Fariston Road, between two homes.

When Deputies arrived at the scene, they found that a male subject had been stabbed under the armpit by a knife, and received a serious injury.

The victim was identified as Christopher Lewis age 31 of Fariston Road, London.

He was airlifted from the scene to UK hospital, in Lexington.

A male suspect left the scene before deputies arrived, and has not been questioned yet about the incident.

According to investigation, it is believed that an argument occurred between the victim and another man, which later resulted in an altercation and then the stabbing.
