Police identify body found in Tug Fork River

SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. (AP) - Authorities have identified a body that washed up on the Kentucky side of the Tug Fork River as that of a West Virginia man.

Kentucky State Police said in a statement on Thursday that the medical examiner's office identified the deceased as 41-year-old Chad Everett Roberts of Rawl, W.V.

The body was reported to police on Monday by a passing motorist.

Police said the death is under investigation.
