LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Authorities are investigating at least three shootings that occurred overnight.

Police say sounds of gunshots led them to two cars with bullet holes in them outside a bar on Newtown Pike near Third Street. "When we arrived we did not find anyone there," explains Lt. Chris Van Brackel with the Lexington Police Department, " however, we did find two cars with damage to them as well as shell casings."

They say shortly after, they received another call, this time about a drive-by shooting off Whitney Ave. "This time a bullet went through the house."

Police responded to a third shooting off Breckenridge Street where a bullet also went through a home. "This isn't the first time we've responded to this residence about a drive-by shooting," explains Lt. Van Brackel.

Police say they are checking with area hospitals to see if anyone was treated for gunshot wounds overnight. At this time, no injuries have been reported as a result of either of these shootings.
