GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - We're tracking a crime alert tonight. Police are looking for three people they say may be stealing merchandise from Cracker Barrel restaurants across central Kentucky.
Georgetown police released surveillance pictures of the suspects taken at the Georgetown Cracker Barrel.
It's the fourth Cracker Barrel to be hit by thieves recently in central Kentucky.
Georgetown police say they are looking for the suspects who got away with a lot of UK merchandise last Wednesday at their Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Police say they believe in the Cracker Barrel theft there that one man acted as a distraction in the store while another man stole the merchandise and a woman was the getaway driver.
By posting snapshots from the surveillance video online, Georgetown police say they hope someone recognizes the people involved.
"We really feel that this particular group is from this area or this region. And we have a fairly decent photograph of this individual, and we really feel somebody will step up and identify this individual," said Chief Mike Bosse, with the Georgetown Police Department.
Cracker Barrel restaurants in Lexington, Nicholasville, and Mt. Sterling have also been hit and police believe the same three people could be responsible.
The general manager tells us the same man who stole UK items from the Georgetown Cracker Barrel was back again Sunday night, and they called police.
