Police find missing family after they say 4-year-old boy was beaten

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man police say beat a 4-year-old child is now in custody.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Lemuel Burton turned himself in Tuesday night.

The child's mother, 23-year-old Kendra Johnson, and the child came with him.

Deputies have charged Burton and Johnson with criminal abuse.

They say the child was taken to a hospital to be treated, and then released to a family member.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for a man they say beat a 4-year-old child.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for 29-year-old Lemuel Burton, charging him with assault.

They're also looking for the child and the child's mother, 23-year-old Kendra Johnson.

Investigators say family members told them Burton beat the child while drinking.

They think Burton, Johnson, and the child are together, and hiding out with people they know in the Pulaski County area.

The Sheriff's office says Johnson may face charges as well, because she's not come forward to report the child's injuries.
