LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – WKYT was on the scene this morning when Lexington Police took two people into custody along I-75 in connection with an overnight robbery.
Police say 45-year-old Ricky Trump held up an employee at the Speedway on Athens Boonesboro Road around 1am Friday morning.
The Victim, a clerk, says that Trump had what she thought was a gun and got away with cash and cigarettes.
When Police caught up with Trump’s vehicle they found all of the stolen items inside.
A female passenger was also taken into custody, but it’s unclear at this time if she will face any charges.
Trump is charged with robbery and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
