LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Southern Kentucky man faces charges after police say he robbed a woman outside a store.

The crime happened Sunday night at the Ape Yard Market in East Bernstadt in Laurel County.

State Police say James Peters, 27, pulled a gun on a woman in the parking lot and demanded money. The victim complied and the robber left the scene.

Investigators caught up with Peters not long after the hold-up. He's charged with robbery and not having prescription medication in the proper container.

The victim was not hurt.
