Suspect, victim arrested in Lexington home invasion

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are releasing new details about a home invasion in Lexington.

Last week, Lexington Police told WKYT that they were questioning three people in connection to the case.

Police say they received a call around 3:30 pm last Friday that three men forced their way into a home, with some people inside.

Police say the men stole money from people inside the home, then fired some shots before leaving.

Police are now saying Alexander Mills fired shots at two suspects who had just stole marijuana and cash from him. One of those bullets traveled into a home where a father and small child were inside. Neither were hit.

Mills was charged with Wanton Endangerment, Drug Trafficking, and Possession of Drug Paraphenalia.

Police have also arrested Austin Pennie in connection with the robbery. They say Pennie was one of two suspects who broke into Mills' home and brandished a firearm, making verbal threats and demands and stealing money from the victim. A witness stated he had seen Pennie inside the victim's basement and identified him during a photo lineup.

Pennie is charged with Robbery 1st Degree.
