HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Police said one Perry County business was burglarized Thursday evening.

Deputy Chief Joe Engle of the Hazard Police Department said the Scott Gross Welding Supplies Company, Inc. was broken into at around 9 p.m. He said they believed multiple people were involved in stealing two welders, valued at $1,600.

"The manor, it was real quick, looks like one subject probably pried the door open and the other one entered and they grabbed two of them pretty quick," said Engle.
"Because when the alarm went off I believe it took us four minutes to get here and there was no sign of anyone coming out close by."

Police said they believe whoever stole the merchandise had probably been to the business before. The boxes for those machines were left behind. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hazard Police Department.
