Police say burglar fled in a cab

LONDON, Ky. (AP) - A southeastern Kentucky man is accused of breaking into his estranged wife's home, taking cash and a computer and calling a taxi to flee the scene.

Law enforcement authorities arrested 28-year-old Bradley Hill of Knox County on Wednesday afternoon, about 20 minutes after a burglary in progress was reported at the home west of London. The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says the deputy who responded learned that a suspect left in a cab that came and picked him up.

After calling the cab company, authorities asked the driver to pull over and wait for deputies, who arrived and arrested the man.

Hill is charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking and is being held in the Laurel County jail. Online jail records did not indicate whether he is represented by a lawyer.
