Police say counterfeit money circulating in Cynthiana

CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WKYT) -- Counterfeit money is circulating through at least one Kentucky town, being used at stores, a beauty salon, and even at banks.

According to the Cynthiana Democrat, Cynthiana police are investigating after five, 10, and 20 dollar fake bills were discovered.

Police believe all of the bills are coming from the same counterfeiter. They say the funny money looks good, but doesn't feel exactly right.

Police are cautioning people to have cashiers check the bills before they leave a store.
