Police searching for Lexington bank robber

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Lexington bank Monday afternoon.

We're told some time after 1:30 p.m., an armed robber followed a teller into the US Bank on Richmond Road. She was coming in from her lunch break.

Police say the man pointed a gun at her and another teller, and told them to put money on the counter. After they did, we're told the man took off down Richmond Road, near Mount Tabor, with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a white man in his 30's with a dark-colored goatee, a dark toboggan, dark-colored hoodie, and blue jeans.

The robbery is the second bank robbery in Lexington on Monday.
