MEADE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are releasing more details in a convenience store robbery.
Police say at around 8 o'clock Saturday morning, a man entered Carolyn's Corner in Big Springs.
He told employees that he had a gun and demanded money, and the car keys from the female employee.
We're told a fight broke out between the two. They say the suspect forced her into the parking lot, and into her car where he demanded her keys.
Police say she led the suspect to another employee's home, where she knew there were firearms.
When the male employee answered the door, police say the suspect rushed into the home.
That's when police say the employee found a firearm, and another struggle began, which resulted in the employee being shot once in the arm.
The suspect took the victim's gun and left the scene.
They say that's when he went to another house nearby and robbed an elderly man of his car keys at gun point. That man's car was stolen by the suspect out of his driveway.
The suspect is described as a white male, early to mid 20's, thin build, clean shaven and last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, boots, and a gray toboggan.
Video from the store is being viewed and may be released once it is processed.
