CLINTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police are seeking the public's help in an effort to solve a 1985 slaying.

Police say Duane W. Caldwell was fatally shot by a masked gunman as he and his wife, Betty Caldwell, walked to their vehicle after closing their market in Clinton on the evening of January 7. Police say an unknown man wearing a red ski mask approached the couple from an alley as they got to the vehicle. Police say the assailant robbed them, then shot and killed Duane Caldwell.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Kentucky State Police Detective John Sims at 270-856-3721.
