Police seeking witnesses in deadly crash involving fire truck

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are hoping the public can help as they continue to investigating a deadly crash involving a fire truck.

Police say Lauren Roady, 27, was crossing North Broadway at Main Street on Saturday night as a fire truck turned through the intersection.

Fire officials tell WKYT that witnesses reported that Roady may have walked into the side of the truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are asking anyone else who may have seen the accident to call them.

Roady was an attorney in Washington, D.C. Friends tell us she grew up in Knoxville and visited Lexington often to compete in equestrian events at the Kentucky Horse Park.
