Kentucky State Police arrested a Lawrence County man after conducting an investigation into illegal drug activity. Troopers arrested 36-year-old Martin W. Wright of Louisa at his home around 10:30 am Wednesday on one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.

Troopers say they made a controlled delivery of intercepted narcotics pills to Wright's home on Tuesday. State Police say the narcotics had been shipped from an undisclosed location to Wright. Troopers say the delivery took place at the Valero Gas Station just South of Louisa on US 23. Police say Wright was awaiting the delivery, and was operating his state highway vehicle, when the delivery took place.

Warrants were obtained by KSP undercover detectives Thursday. They arrested Wright Thursday morning.
