Police pull over speeder, uncover stolen items

A traffic stop led to a much bigger discovery for a Central Kentucky sheriff.

Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton said he pulled over an SUV that was speeding along I-64 Tuesday afternoon.

Melton says he then discovered the SUV had been stolen from Lexington, and he says he found may stolen items from homes in Lexington and Louisville inside.

The driver was arrested. The investigation is still ongoing.
