Police say drugs found in traffic stop

On Thursday, at 12:23 am, Kentucky State Police say troopers pulled over an SUV while on routine patrol at the Park and Ride Gas Station in Clay City. Troopers say Johnnie Stanley, who was driving the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, gave them permission to search the vehicle.

Troopers say they located several types of drugs in the vehicle including heroin, cocaine, and multiple other narcotics. Troopers arrested Stanley and a passenger in the vehicle, Bobby Ford of Winchester, with trafficking in controlled substances, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Another passenger, William Washington of Paris, was charged with trafficking in controlled substances, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
