Police say teen driving drunk in stolen car

Frankfort Police say a 19-year-old was under the influence of alcohol when she crashed a car in the 500 block of West Second Street just after 2:00am Wednesday.

Officers say Erica Tracy's 1998 Buick Century had struck a rock wall.
She was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Police say Tracy lost control of the vehicle, ran over the curbing, and struck a sign post and the wall. Further investigation into the crash resulted in Tracy being charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

During the course of the investigation Frankfort Police interviewed 47-year-old Bobbie Moore of Frankfort, who owned the Buick involved in the crash. She told police her daughter parked the car at Bonnie’s Place, on Louisville Road, and went inside the bar. When she came out several minutes later, the vehicle was gone.

As a result of Moore reporting the vehicle stolen, Frankfort Police also charged Tracy with receiving stolen property.
