Some areas have picked up better than a foot of snow. We still have several more inches possible through the afternoon.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An upscale steakhouse could be the newest addition to the CentrePointe project in downtown Lexington. Jeff Ruby will make a major announcement at this week's Thursday Night Live in downtown Lexington.
According to a press release, restaurateur Jeff Ruby will make the announcement at this week’s event at Fifth Third Bank Pavilion at Cheapside Park. His legendary eatery, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, will co-sponsor the event along with Lexington-based developer of CentrePointe, The Webb Companies.
“The Downtown Lexington Corporation does such a great job organizing these events we felt it was the perfect opportunity to reach out and support a community that has always been so supportive of us,” Ruby said. “It feels right that an announcement such as this is done in the company of both old friends as well as so many new ones,” he continued.
It is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15.
Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse is a Cincinnati-based landmark. Featuring award-winning steaks, seafood and live entertainment nightly, Ruby’s is frequently rated by Zagat higher than any steakhouse in Cincinnati, Chicago and New York City.
"A Lot of people from Lexington for years have driven to our restaurants for dinner, a lot of them. And they said 'You've gotta open one in Lexington," Ruby tells WKYT.
Thursday night on WKYT News at Five, WKYT's Jennifer Palumbo talks to Ruby about his big news, his famous food, and famous friends.
