Possible record breaking temperatures on the way

Posted: Mon 5:09 AM, Jan 28, 2013

Starting off the work week with a few spotty showers in which will increase with better chances through the afternoon. If you are not being hit by any rain you will have a nice feeling out with highs in the mid 50s. Speaking of a nice feeling, tomorrows temperatures will be approaching records as our highs jump to the mid to upper 60s with the record being 69 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase early Wednesday morning and making its way through by the afternoon. There is a chance at a few of these being strong to possible severe, so this will be the next day to really keep an eye on. Another thing to watch for on Wednesday is the breeze outside as gusts may approach the 40-50 mph range. Cold air follows behind the rain, which will drop our temperatures quickly through the afternoon and evening leaving us with a slight chance at a snow shower or two.
