Possible threat at Scott County Middle, second in three weeks

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating a report of a possible threat at a central Kentucky school.

School leaders say they heard from students at Scott County Middle School that another student had been overheard talking about taking a weapon to the school.

This comes after a similar threat was made at Scott County Middle School just a week ago.

Chip Southworth, Director of Secondary Schools, says they are working with Georgetown police to make sure all of the kids are safe. He also says that the students were never in any serious danger.
