LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A wire is to blame for a power outage at Hamburg in Lexington.

We're told it came loose along Plaudit Place, and dropped to the ground.

The electric company shut off the line to avoid fire, that's when we're told the power was knocked out to most of Hamburg.

Hundreds of customers, mainly businesses, lost power for a couple of hours Friday night.

We're told most of the power was restored by 8 p.m.
