Power company stops plans for new plant

A power company will stop plans to build a coal-burning plant, as part of an agreement with some customers and public interest groups.

East Kentucky Power wanted to build the plant in Clark County.

However, some people raised concerns about the environmental impact it might have.

Instead, East Kentucky Power officials say they're now working to find new energy efficiency programs and renewable energy options.
