LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A property owner came face to face with two burglars around midnight Thursday morning.

Lexington Police say the man saw a motion light come on at the vacant property he owns next door to his own home on Old Main Street.

When the man went to investigate he found two people inside the home.

One of the intruders punched him in the face before taking off.

Police say the man thought he recognized the suspects as people he had seen before in his neighborhood.

Those men are still on the loose.
