Proposed repeal of election day booze ban

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - This November, people in Fayette County may be able to buy alcohol on election day.

A measure lifting the ban on election day alcohol sales in the county could be passed by the end of the month.

The urban county council's general government committee voted yesterday, to move forward with a resolution to repeal an ordinance that banned alcohol sales while polls are open.
