HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP/WKYT) - The fatal shooting of a young lawyer in northern Kentucky is drawing more questions than answers days after his death.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports 29-year-old Ryan Poston was found dead in his dining room last Friday night. His girlfriend, 21-year-old Shayna Hubers, is charged with murder.
Hubers is a Lexington native and Dunbar High School graduate.
No motive is known, and police and prosecutors refuse to discuss the case.
Poston's friends and colleagues describe his relationship with Hubers as "tumultuous" and "off-and-on."
The Poston family released a statement that said he had been trying to end the relationship.
Poston had opened his own practice in May in downtown Cincinnati. His practice focused on personal injury cases.
Hubers graduated from a Lexington high school and in the fall of 2010 she made the Dean's List at the University of Kentucky.
