A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for for much of northern and eastern Kentucky until 9 p.m. This is just east of the Lexington metro.
Most areas started Sunday off on a pretty comfortable note. That will not last as we expect the humidity to increase through the day. Not only will the comfort level begin to fall, but the showers and storms begin to increase as well.
While we aren't looking at a washout for Sunday, I do expect more widespread chances of showers and storms. The rain will become a common feature in our forecast. It looks like showers and storms will be likely nearly every single day in our 7-Day forecast.
Summer took a small vacation. Remember, this is still August and that means summer is still here. Even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Yes, the wet summer has really combated the major heat factor. That's why we have remained relatively cool.
