Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
Sunday ended up being a much slower day than what we have seen here lately. Only an isolated shower or thundershower passed through the area.
There will be a few more showers and thunderstorms develop on Monday. While those chances won't be off the charts, we will see a few during the afternoon and evening. The humidity will be a little higher to start things off this week. That also keeps the heat down for most of us. Daytime highs are only going to hover around the mid and upper 80s.
A few more storms could try to develop on Tuesday. Most of those chances will remain on the low side.
During midweek we'll have a little more energy in the area and that will bring some better chances of showers and thunderstorms. This means widespread activity. This could be the system that pushes us into the 2nd or 1st spot on the all-time wettest August lists. As of this writing we are in the 3rd position. This will grow during the week a head.
As always... we are tracking all of the changes.
