Strong and severe storms continue to push across central and eastern Kentucky. This action should begin to wind down over the next few hours.
LEXINGTON, KY (WKYT) - UK freshman Julius Randle is refuting news which says he has declared for the NBA Draft. ESPN reported the Kentucky star is leaving UK after one season. This move would not be a surprising decision, but here is what Randle said on twitter early Wednesday evening, "Idk who reported what but I haven't made up my mind about the draft yet. Haven't even talked to my family about it. So it's all false."
The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Randle averaged a double-double this season for the Wildcats averaging 15 points and 10.4 rebounds a game for the NCAA runner-up Wildcats.
Randle was a dominating force for Kentucky with 24 double-doubles in 40 games leading the Cats in scoring and rebounding.
The NBA draft is June 26 in New York.
