Our weather has been way too steamy for most folks, so mother nature is going to cut us a break later this week. That’s when a surge of fall air moves into the bluegrass state and delivers the coolest air we’ve had since spring. Could we threaten record lows?
Highs for Wednesday will continue to run in the mid and upper 80s for central and eastern Kentucky with a 90 possible. Humidity levels will make it feel even warmer. Scattered showers and storms will blow up as the day wears on.
Our cold front will sweep in here Thursday with a line of showers and thunderstorms. The cool air blowing in behind this front will be the big weather story. Highs Friday into Saturday may struggle to get to 70 in some cases.
Lows Saturday and Sunday will drop deep into the 40s and could be within reach of a few records.
